The new quote

I just posted from Winston Churchill (Sir Winston Churchill to you & me): Criticism may not be agreeable, but it is necessary. It fulfils the same function as pain in the human body. It calls attention to an unhealthy state of things.

Does anyone know the source for this? It's very good, & I'd love to know the context.
